Our project - VR in handball
Our team, led by the renowned handball goalkeeper coach and former Croatian national team player Sanimir Radek, has developed an innovative project that uses state-of-the-art VR technology to enhance goalkeeper training in handball.
Thanks to virtual reality, goalkeepers train in a completely safe environment – without the risk of injuries caused by direct contact. It allows the repetition of identical situations, which is not possible in real life, and enables a large number of reactions in a very short time (in actual training, one hundred identical attacks were repeated in just eight minutes, whereas in reality this would take months). This approach brings significant improvements in reaction speed, physical fitness, mental preparation, and other key aspects of goalkeeper training.
For conducting VR training, a space of only 2 × 3 meters (a total of six square meters) is sufficient, which allows for easy implementation in almost any sports hall or smaller room, without the need for major infrastructural adjustments.
